Fortis Investments appoints new CIO for Multi-Management

Peter Branner has been appointed as the new Chief Investment Officer for Multi-Management at Fortis Investments. Branner joins the asset manager today May 1st and will report to the company’s Global CIO, William De Vijlder.

As CIO for Multi Management, he will be responsible for a 12-people strong team including analysts, portfolio managers and portfolio constructors currently located predominantly in London, plus Amsterdam and Luxembourg.

Branner joins Fortis from the IKANO Group where he has worked for the last 12 years, most recently as CIO and Managing Director of IKANO Fund Management in Luxembourg.

Of his move to Fortis Investments Peter said: “I am particularly attracted by the company’s autonomous investment centre structure and its ambition to compete in the wholesale/retail and institutional (fiduciary) arena.”

Global CIO William De Vijlder commented: “I am very pleased to welcome Peter on board as he brings with him extensive experience gained in multi-management, where he has developed a rigorous, modern and performing process, covering everything from manager selection, portfolio construction and diversification, to overlay management.”
