Moore, a Jersey-based specialist provider of fund administration, corporate and management services to offshore funds and special purpose investment vehicles, has opened a London office headed by Simon Chadwick.

Chadwick has joined Moore from Bear Stearns Asset Management, where he was a managing director in the private funds group. He has 18 years of financial business development and management experience including 12 years with the Schroder group.

A specialist in private equity fund-related business, Chadwick has previously lived and worked in Japan, one of Moore’s key markets. His role is to lead new business development for the group with a particular focus on private equity funds, art funds and cross-border opportunities relating to Japan.

‘We are pleased that Simon has decided to join us at an important point in the group’s expansion,’ says chief executive Ian Moore, who founded the eponymous firm 11 years ago. ‘We have worked with Simon previously over a number of years and his background and experience will contribute significantly to the growth of our business. The opening of London and Tokyo offices this year brings us closer to current and prospective clients for our range of offshore fund administration and management services.’

Says Chadwick: ‘Moore is a successful and entrepreneurial business with its own distinctive style. As an arranger of funds administered by Moore and as a direct customer, I was impressed by their flexibility and creativity in structuring investment products and by their high level of customised service during the life of an investment.’

Through its Jersey and Bermuda subsidiaries, Moore is a provider of administration and management services to offshore funds and special purpose investment vehicles, administering more than USD10bn in assets, including some USD3bn in private equity funds.
