The US-based Hedge Fund Association has launched a regional chapter for the north-eastern US, providing organisational and financial resources for member programmes in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Maine.

David Friedland, president of the association as well as of Magnum U.S. Investments, says, ‘Under the energetic leadership of new president Angelo Robles, the Northeastern Chapter of the HFA will provide a regular forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences and opportunities among association members.’

Robles has authored several books on financial planning and is currently a financial adviser in Stamford, Connecticut, focusing on cash management, asset protection and wealth transfer planning. He was previously a director of executive benefits for global insurance conglomerate Arthur J. Gallagher.

Robles says, ‘In the weeks ahead, we will appoint our governing board of directors and announce several new regional initiatives that will further strengthen and unite the hedge fund community.’
