Conduit Capital Markets, an independent mid-market institutional derivatives and securities dealer, has appointed Paul Blake as head of fixed income sales.
Prior to his appointment Blake was head of institutional bond sales, Europe and Asia at CIBC World Markets in London.
He began his career in fixed income 1982 with Wood Gundy, where he rose to the position of vice president, fixed income. He spent seven years gaining extensive knowledge of the operations area, whilst focusing on the trading of both government Canada bonds and US dollar supranationals.
In 1989 Blake joined CIBC World Markets as executive director, became head of institutional and retail sales eight years later and was appointed head of institutional bond sales in 1999. In May 2006 he was promoted to head of institutional bond sales, Europe and Asia, DCM.
