Gartmore has appointed Luke Newman as portfolio manager to its UK team.
He joins on 29 June and will work with Ben Wallace on the recently launched Gartmore UK Absolute Return and AlphaGen Octanis Funds.
Newman’s nine years of industry experience have encompassed fund management roles managing UK equity long only and long/short funds at Deutsche Asset Management, Foreign & Colonial and most recently, Altima Partners.
