Cedrus Investments has appointed Paul Jackson as chief investment officer.

Jackson joins Cedrus with 11 years of buy-side experience as an equity research analyst and portfolio manager at top tier institutions and ten years experience in the technology industry.

Most recently, Jackson was with Fidelity Investments, where he worked as an equity research analyst covering global technology companies and was a co-portfolio manager on the Fidelity Select Electronics fund.

He began his career in the financial services industry at Wellington Management as a global industry analyst and co-portfolio manager of the Clariden Technology Fund. Jackson has also been an analyst and portfolio manager at Abacus Investments, a Boston-based technology media telecom hedge fund, and State Street Global Advisors.

Prior to joining the financial services industry, Jackson worked for Oracle, British Telecom, Philips Electronics and Case Communications. He holds a US patent for an invention of fault-tolerant networking in a relational database environment.
