Larch Lane Advisors, a member company of Old Mutual Asset Management, has appointed Stephen A. McShea as general counsel.
He reports to Kevin Mirabile, chief operating officer.
McShea (pictured) joins Larch Lane from Dechert, where he was an associate in the firm’s alternative investment funds and financial services group. Among other responsibilities, he represented alternative managers and related parties in connection with fund formations and offerings, securities law and regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters.
Previously, he was an associate in the business law department at Palmer & Dodge (now Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge), where he represented an array of traditional and alternative investment funds and managers, and private and public companies.
Mirabile says: ‘Stephen has worked with hedge funds and funds of funds representing a wide range of asset classes. His experience in the hedge fund arena and legal and compliance expertise will help to support Larch Lane’s continued growth.’
