Cayman directorship services company International Management Services (IMS) has added Cary Marr to its fund fiduciary team.

Marr, who joins IMS from Meridian Fund Services, an independently-owned hedge fund and private equity fund administrator, is well versed in the governance and regulatory issues facing hedge funds and has been providing non-executive directorship services for the past ten years.

“I’m thrilled to become a part of the IMS fiduciary team as I have always viewed IMS to be one of Cayman’s premier providers of hedge fund directorship services,” says Marr.

Gary Butler, managing director and legal counsel for IMS, says: “We are continuing to see an increase in business which we believe is a direct result of the clear value placed on the quality of service and depth of expertise our fund fiduciary team provides, as well as our total independence for investment managers law firms and other service providers to our clients, all of which enables us to provide the level of corporate governance investors expect and which we can bring to the fund entities and clients we are proud to serve.”

Geoff Ruddick, who heads up client and business development for IMS’ fund services division, says: “As one of the longest standing independent fiduciary service providers in the Cayman Islands to the fund industry, we’re pleased that our proactive and qualitative approach to corporate governance and director capacity continues to be well received. We are grateful that we continue to be able to attract high calibre people and are excited to have Cary join us as his depth of experience will only further strengthen our fund fiduciary team.”
