STOXX changes composition of Blue-Chip Indices

STOXX, the operator of Deutsche Boerse Group’s index business, has held its regular annual review of the STOXX Blue-Chip Indices, among them the STOXX Europe 50, EURO STOXX 50 and STOXX Nordic 30 indices.

The company has also held the second semi-annual review of the STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index.
 
All changes will be effective with the open of European markets on 19 September 2016.
 
The following stocks will be added to the EURO STOXX 50 Index: Adidas (Germany, personal & household goods); Ahold Delhaize (Netherlands, retail); and CRH (Ireland, construction & materials). The following stocks will be deleted: Assicurazioni Generali (Italy, insurance); UniCredit (Italy, banks); and Carrefour (France, retail).
 
Syngenta (Switzerland, chemicals) will be added to the STOXX Europe 50 Index, while Cie Financiere Richemont (Switzerland, personal & household goods) will be deleted.
 
Vestas Wind Systems (Denmark, oil & gas) will be added to STOXX Nordic 30 Index while Yara (Norway, chemicals) will be deleted.
 
The following stocks will be added to the STOXX Eastern Europe 50 Index: Transneft PFD (Russia, oil & gas); BCA Transilvania (Romania, banks); and Arcelik (Turkey, personal & household goods), while the following will be deleted: Severstal (Russia, basic resources); Anadolu Efes (Turkey, food & beverage); and Orange Polska (Poland, telecommunications).
