Banque Générale du Luxembourg (BGL) has changed its name to Fortis Banque Luxembourg and is to market its products and services under the Fortis brand.
The move comes more than five years after BGL first joined the Fortis group in 2000 and is seen as a crucial move in the bank’s future development.
“This important step marks the beginning of an important stage in the history of our bank and is the culmination of increasingly close and fruitful cooperation over the five years since we joined the Fortis group in 2000,” says BGL general manager Jacques Bofferding. “Over these years, we have been able to participate entirely in the expansion of an international financial group of the first order. Yet the quality of our human capital remains unchanged, as does our dedication to the highest standards. At the same time, membership of a leading international group will enable us, to further extend our range with attractive, innovative solutions.”
