STOXX has announced changes to the composition of its European benchmark indexes with effect from 19 June, 2006.

The changes affect the following indexes – Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 Index, the Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index and its sector indexes, the Dow Jones EU Enlarged Total Market Index and the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.

The following eleven stocks will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX 600 and its respective size and sector indexes: ACERGY (Norway, Marine Transportation), AKER KVAERNER (Norway, Oil Equipment & Services), BANCA ITALEASE (Italy, Specialty Finance), CHARTER (United Kingdom, Industrial Machinery), COMP GENERALE DE GEOPHYSI (France, Oil Equipment & Services), DRAX GROUP (United Kingdom, Electricity), EDISON (Italy, Multiutilities), EUTELSAT COMMUNICATION (France, Telecommunications Equipment), HAGEMEYER (Netherlands, Industrial Suppliers), MICHAEL PAGE INTL (United Kingdom, Business Training & Employment Agencies) and WINCOR NIXDORF (Germany, Computer Services).

Companies exiting the index are: BAYERISCHE HYPO & VEREINSBANK (Germany, Banks), HAVAS (France, Media Agencies), H. LUNDBECK (Denmark, Pharmaceuticals), OCE (Netherlands, Electronic Office Equipment), OSTASIATISKE KOMPAGNI (Denmark, Food Products), RHM (United Kingdom, Food Products), SIG HOLDING AG (Switzerland, Containers & Packaging), SPECTRIS PLC (United Kingdom, Electrical Components & Equipment), TDC A/S (Denmark, Fixed Line Telecommunications), THE DAVIS SERVICE GRP (United Kingdom, Business Support Services) and WEIR GRP (United Kingdom, Industrial Machinery).

The sector classifications of the current Dow Jones STOXX 600 components will remain unchanged.

As of 28 April, 2006 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX 600 increased from EUR  6,223.58 billion to EUR 6,525.35 billion and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Total Market Index from EUR 6,672.66 to EUR 7,010.22 billion.

The Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 and the Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index are also part of this regular quarterly review. The new composition of the indexes can be found at http://www.stoxx.com/info/reports/reviews2006.html.

As of April 28, 2006 the total free-float market capitalization of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX Global 1800 index increased from EUR 20,330.48 billion to EUR 20,524.54 billion, and of the reconstituted Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged Total Market Index increased from EUR 72.11 billion to EUR 80.09 billion.

The composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index will remain unchanged and the free-float market capitalization is EUR 830.14 million.

The changes are part of the company’s regular quarterly component review. The adjusted component weightings, including the number of shares and free-float factors, will be announced on 14 June 14, 2006 after close of European markets. All changes will be effective on 19 June 19, 2006.
