HedgeOp Compliance, LLC (HedgeOp) has established a new office in Boston and has announced several strategic changes.

HedgeOp, a provider of specialized products and services to the hedge fund community, said that the strategic changes are designed ‘to broaden and enhance client services’.

First off, HedgeOp has established a new satellite office in Boston, Massachusetts.  Located at 101 Federal Street, the new location will be headed by Senior Vice President, Patrick F Shea.

The firm stated: ‘Over the past three years Patrick has been a key contributor to the senior management team at HedgeOp, and has been a driving force in the growth of the firm.  In his new role, Patrick will be responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management of operations in the new office’.

‘We believe that Boston is an important and growing market for hedge funds and hedge fund service providers,’ stated Bill Mulligan, CEO of HedgeOp.  ‘Pat is one of our most important senior staff members and I have the utmost confidence in his ability to attract local talent, and expand our operations in Boston.’

HedgeOP also announced a number of internal promotions. Rinarisa G. Coronel has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President.  Rinarisa has been a valued member of the HedgeOp team, serving as a Senior Vice President since June 2004.  In addition to her ongoing client responsibilities, Rinarisa will work closely with HedgeOp’s CEO on key management issues, including the continued development of strategic partnerships, internal management and future growth strategies.
HedgeOp’s CEO, Bill Mulligan, stated ‘I believe that Rinarisa is uniquely suited for her new expanded role, and I look forward to our collaboration.’ Rinarisa graduated from Fordham University with a BA in Economics and received a J.D. from Hofstra University.

Jim O’Connor has been promoted from Managing Director to Vice President.  Jim has been a key contributor to the firm since its early stages. In addition to his various work on internal management committees, Jim will continue to serve HedgeOp clients, providing general consulting and due diligence services as a new Vice President at the firm.   ‘Jim has been invaluable to me and HedgeOp from its very start, and I am very pleased to reward his contributions, and see him grow along with the firm,’ stated Bill Mulligan, CEO of HedgeOp.

HedgeOp also announced the addition of Kara B. Bingham to its senior staff as a new Vice President.  Kara’s duties include providing compliance consulting and due diligence services to HedgeOp’s clients.  Kara was formerly an attorney at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP and received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.A. in psychology from Miami University
