Spectrum, a provider of middle office services and fund administration for hedge funds and funds of funds, has made four new hires.

The new employees are Robert Goldbaum, Allison Smaluk, Gregory Knapp and Thomas Richardson. "Bob’s move from San Francisco to Chicago to join the growing Spectrum Global Team underscores the excitement and development of what is happening here at Spectrum" said Ron Suber, President of Spectrum.

Bob has over 15 years of experience working in the alternative investments industry. As Chief Strategy Officer and Founder of Financial Interactive and FundRunner (SS&C), Bob has worked closely with many of the leading Hedge Funds and Funds of Funds to develop CRM, Investor Relationship Management and Due Diligence Management systems as well as custom web reporting and consulting services

"Bob’s understanding of operational best practices, compliance, marketing as well as back/front office automation will enable Bob to work closely with many areas of Spectrum and the firms clients", said Michael Griffin, CEO of Spectrum. "Bobs creativity will further assist Spectrum in the development of additional products, technology, services and business solutions for Spectrum clients", said David Young, Vice Chairman of Spectrum.
 
Allison Smaluk has been hired to develop and manage a team of Client Service Representatives located in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Allison brings a Prime Brokerage Services background that includes Operations, Product Management, Reporting, Technology and Multi Product Asset Class experience. Allison spent over 10 years with Bank of America in Chicago. "Allison’s strong Management, Client Service and Operational skills will help Spectrum build a proactive and well trained team of Client Service Representatives to ensure the needs of our rapidly growing and sophisticated clients are completely met", said Tony Peterson, COO of Spectrum.
 
Greg Knapp will be joining Spectrum and opening the new San Francisco office to help support the rapidly growing client base in the Western Region. Greg has 8 years of consulting, service and sales experience in the alternative investment industry having previously worked for Financial Interactive, FundRunner (SS&C) and Merrill Lynch. "Greg’s background and ability to help fully support clients from all angles will be invaluable" said Annabel Houx Marisca, Director of Sales and Marketing for Spectrum.
 
Tom Richardson has accepted a position as a Client Service Representative in Chicago. "Tom brings us many skills given his accomplishments at ADP, Thomson Financial and Bear Stearns. We are happy to have Tom and Greg join the team. Their unique skills will help us deliver our top-tier service offering"" said Allison Smaluk, Manager of Client Service Representatives at Spectrum. Tom has traveled extensively to work closely with clients to ensure all clients have a full understanding of the product, reporting and technology solutions available.
