London-based Albemarle Asset Management, a financial adviser and investment manager that emphasises capital preservation and risk reduction, has implemented Moxy, Advent Software’s trade order management system, and Advent Portfolio Exchange, its portfolio management solution.
With growth in client numbers and assets under management, Albemarle Asset Management sought a system that could provide it with risk management and client reporting capabilities as well as a platform to automate its business processes. The firm says Moxy and APX will offer it a range of functionality from portfolio modelling and trade execution to portfolio management, client relationship management and reporting.
‘We have an aggressive business plan to grow our client base, and to achieve this we needed to enhance our operational infrastructure and the level of service we provided our clients,’ says Albemarle managing director Matteo Rigginello.
‘After reviewing a number of suppliers in the market, we chose Advent’s suite, which will integrate our front, middle and back office. With APX and Moxy, we can automate operations, improve performance tracking benchmarking, and cash positions tracking, and deliver superior client reporting. In addition, the new solution will go a long way in helping us comply with the new MiFID requirements.’

Advent Portfolio Exchange integrates the front office functions of client relationship management and performance analysis with the back office operations of portfolio accounting and reporting, using a single SQL database to deliver client information via a browser-based user interface.
The industry’s most widely used trade order management system, with more than 750 clients worldwide, Moxy automates trading and order management processes and features portfolio modelling, rebalancing, and what-if scenarios, intra-day order management, pre- and post-trade compliance checking, and electronic order routing and trade execution.
