Sixth Hedge Fund Fight Nite is knockout success

Related Topics

The sixth Jax Coco Hedge Fund Fight Nite, which featured seven bouts between members of the Hong Kong hedge fund community, raised over HKD500,000 for charity.

Approximately 550 guests attended the black-tie event to support the fighters and to lend their contribution to the charities Operation Smile and Operation Breakthrough. Dinner was served and guests were welcomed by a dance performance by the Dancing Girls.

As guests were enjoying the second course of the meal, the fights commenced with the first bout between Adam “Ironman” Gazal from National Australia Bank and Grant “G-Unit” Livingston from JP Morgan.

In between fights, guests participated generously in a charity auction and raffle. Sponsors and donors such as title sponsor Jax Coco, event organiser IME and other partners Art Futures Group, Cat Street Gallery, Wine Shop Asia, Shanghai Tang, Four Seasons Hotel, Gentlemen’s Tonic and Harrington’s contributed items and prizes.

Rob Derry, managing director of Ironmonger Events, the organiser of the Hedge Fund Fight Nite, says: “All the fighters who participated tonight are to be applauded for their great effort in undergoing a gruelling training regime for the past five months. We are very grateful to them and to everyone who attended tonight for their unwavering and generous support and we look forward to organising the next Hedge Fund Fight Nite in 2013.”
