MMRIT selects iomart private cloud solution

Related Topics

MMRIT, a business that provides fully managed IT services to the financial and legal services sectors in London, has turned to a private cloud solution from iomart to satisfy the security requirements of its customers and help them cut costs.

MMRIT’s customers include hedge funds, alternative investment managers, barristers’ chambers and law firms. Several of them were keen to move to the cloud to save on infrastructure costs but they did not want to have to compromise on security.

iomart worked with the MMRIT team to build a highly available, private cloud platform that meets all the financial and security requirements of their customers. Instances are securely and logically separated to protect each client’s data. There is no single point of failure.

Tim Lines (pictured), Director and owner of MMRIT, says: “In the financial sector in particular, the security and availability of IT systems is key to investor due diligence and that’s where the iomart card is important. The credibility that comes from working with a partner that has the requisite security accreditations and is listed on the London Stock Exchange, means that our clients can be sure we are with them and supporting them for the long term.”

The private cloud environment meets the requirement of the Financial Conduct Authority and the Solicitors Regulatory Authority, which means MMRIT can be confident when targeting new clients in these highly regulated sectors. It can also be scaled up to support MMRIT’s continuing growth.

Paul Line, Head of Commercial for MMRIT, adds: “Working with iomart we were able to assure our clients that they could trust us with their data and they were happy to give us control to create the best cloud solution.”

iomart is the most accredited provider of managed hosting and cloud services in the UK. Its private cloud solutions offer a dedicated resource in the cloud without losing the protection or security of a traditional on premise solution.
