UMB Fund Services adds to business development team

UMB Fund Services (UMBFS) has hired three associates to join its business development team – Michelle Benner, Ana Burke and Jose Rincon who all join as vice presidents, business development.

The trio will focus on new business development for UMBFS’ array of services for the asset management industry which include fund accounting, administration, tax, investor services, transfer agency, custody and distribution.  
 
In addition, UMBFS has promoted Chanté Schultz to assistant vice president, business development. In her role, she will support the new business development efforts of the national sales team.
 
“We are committed to expanding our registered fund and alternative investment client base and are excited to have Ana, Jose and Michelle join our business development team as well as promote Chanté to support the team,” says Tony Fischer (pictured), executive director, national sales institutional banking and asset servicing at UMB Bank. “This will be the largest sales team we have had to date that is solely dedicated to promoting our unique value proposition across the industry.

These new team members bring diverse expertise and experience that will enhance our ability to add value throughout our client relationships.”
 
Benner has more than 29 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to her current role, she was a strategic account manager at Ascensus. Benner graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
 
Burke has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She was previously managing director, product manager at Plia Systems Inc. Burke graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with bachelor’s degrees in computer science and electronic crime investigation and computer security. She holds Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
 
Rincon has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his current role, he was director, business development, US and Latin America at LeverPoint. Rincon graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance.
 
Schultz has nearly 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Before joining UMBFS, she spent four years in retail banking with a local bank. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in professional communication management from Alverno College, in Milwaukee.
