BTIG has appointed Jennifer Bloom and Rachel Lucas, Managing Directors, as Co-Heads of US Capital Introduction. Bloom and Lucas have been instrumental in building the Capital Introduction business, holding key leadership roles within the division for nearly a decade.

In their new roles, they will continue to be based out of the firm’s New York office and will report to Peter Tarrant (pictured), Head of Business Development and Global Capital Introduction at BTIG.

Bloom and Lucas will manage an active team of Capital Introduction professionals across the New York, San Francisco and Dallas regional offices. As a value-added service offered to BTIG Prime Brokerage and Outsource Trading clients, the firm’s Capital Introduction helps fund managers increase marketing effectiveness so they can focus on successfully managing their businesses.

“Whether looking to launch a new fund or diversify an existing investor base, Jen and Rachel have the expertise to help clients refine their message and enhance their overall business development efforts,” says Tarrant. “They are both skilled professionals, and we feel confident that under their leadership we will continue to build a best-in-class platform that meets the goals of clients.”

BTIG’s Capital Introduction team works closely with hedge funds and investors to build long standing relationships and facilitate meaningful introductions. In the last year alone, BTIG Capital Introduction professionals have made more than 6,000 manager-to-investor introductions. Through an investor-centric approach, BTIG collaborates with its extensive global network of institutional investors, which includes family offices, strategic investors, fund-of-funds, RIAs, outsource CIOs, endowments and foundations, to understand their respective portfolios and investment mandates and offer thoughtful solutions. BTIG also hosts roundtables, best idea presentations and private receptions to help foster client engagement and provide access to an appropriate audience of prospective investors.

“As our business evolves and experiences dramatic growth, we continue to expand our management team by identifying key leaders with proven track records. Rachel and Jen are both experts in their field and are highly regarded by clients and investors,” says Scott Kovalik, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BTIG. “We know that they will continue to provide excellent client service by supporting our clients with key introductions and offering helpful strategies.”
