eVestment, a specialist in institutional investment data and analytics, and PitchBook, a data provider for the private and public equity markets, have formed a strategic partnership through which PitchBook’s private market fund performance data is now available in the eVestment Private Markets platform.
The partnership offers eVestment Private Markets users the ability to access PitchBook’s fund-level performance data for more than 6,700 private market funds and 3,100 firms within the eVestment Profiles module – a global database of private markets firms. Additionally, users can leverage PitchBook Benchmarks, the data provider’s stand-alone performance measurement product, in their research and quantitative assessments of private markets fund performance.
The integration of PitchBook’s private market data into eVestment Private Markets compliments eVestment’s existing performance analytics and market intelligence tools and expands the due diligence and research capabilities for private markets general partners (GPs), limited partners (LPs) and advisors.
Katey Bogue (pictured), Head of eVestment Private Markets, said of the partnership: “By offering clients access to a leading source of market data within our sophisticated analytics and research platform, we’re ensuring clients have the tools and data they need to make better decisions and further streamline processes.”
“PitchBook’s coverage of private market fund performance is unrivalled in the industry,” said Seth Sprinkle, Director of Direct Data at PitchBook. “The ability for eVestment users to access both PitchBook’s fund performance data as well as PitchBook Benchmarks offers unprecedented transparency into VC and PE asset class returns. Together with eVestment, we’re helping the institutional investment community accurately measure performance and refine allocation decisions.”
