The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator for April 2019 measured 2.51 per cent, down from 3.49 per cent in March.

“SS&C GlobeOp’s Forward Redemption Indicator for April 2019 of 2.51 per cent reflects a lower level of redemption notices compared with 2.60 per cent reported a year ago,” says Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SS&C Technologies. “This year-over-year improvement in redemptions is consistent with other recent data points showing asset retention continuing to run at generally favorable levels.  Investor confidence in the alternatives sector has remained high and allocations have remained steady over the volatile past year, which has seen wide swings in the equity markets, the inversion of the yield curve, and a change in Federal Reserve policy.”

The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator represents the sum of forward redemption notices received from investors in hedge funds administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the SS&C GlobeOp platform, divided by the AuA at the beginning of the month for SS&C GlobeOp fund administration clients on the SS&C GlobeOp platform. Forward redemptions as a percentage of SS&C GlobeOp’s assets under administration on the SS&C GlobeOp platform have trended significantly lower since reaching a high of 19.27 per cent in November 2008. The next publication date is 21 May, 2019.
