Independent fund and corporate services provider, the Aztec Group, has promoted Paul Conroy to Group Head of Real Assets and Private Debt.
In his new role, Conroy (pictured) will assume overall responsibility for the development, growth and delivery of the Group’s real assets and private debt service offerings. He succeeds Mark Wanless, who has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Leading a multi-jurisdictional team of over 160 real assets and private debt administration professionals, Conroy will oversee client relationship management, operations and business development across real estate, infrastructure, asset leasing and private debt.
In his previous role, Conroy was Head of Real Assets for Jersey and served as a member of the Group’s real assets leadership team, responsible for developing and enhancing the Group’s multi-jurisdictional real assets offering. A member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Conroy joined the Group in 2014 from PwC, where he held a number of senior audit roles during a 10-year tenure with the company, spanning Jersey, London and Melbourne.
Edward Moore, Chief Executive Officer at the Aztec Group, says: “Paul is an exceptional professional with a proven track record in the alternatives industry. He has played an instrumental role in the growth and success of our real assets offering since joining the business and I have no doubt that under his leadership our multi-jurisdictional real assets and private debt teams will continue to flourish. Congratulations to Paul on a well-deserved promotion.”
Conroy says: "I’m delighted to have the opportunity to lead an outstanding team of people who show such passion for what they do and pride themselves on operating as an extension of our clients’ own teams. I look forward to building on these excellent foundations and working with Aztec’s leadership team to consolidate our position as a market-leader in the provision of services to the real assets and private debt markets.”
