Emerging hedge fund managers consider ’Key Steps to Success’ at Hedgeweek event in NYC

Related Topics

Fund and fee structuring, operational due diligence, cybersecurity, selecting the right service providers and the fund raising process itself, were all hot topics at a Hedgeweek event for emerging hedge fund managers and service providers in New York yesterday (13 June).

The one-day event – Key Steps to Success: Managing a Start-up or Emerging Hedge Fund in 2019 – which was held at the University Club and attracted over 120 delegates, featured a panel of industry experts including Wincrest Capital founder Barbara Ann Bernard, Don Steinbrugge, founder and managing parter of Agecroft Partners, and Marianne Scordel of Bougeville Consulting.

And attendees have been quick to praise both the quality of the speakers and the scope of the topics covered in a series of panel discussions and presentations.

Michele Guo, Director of Marketing & Development at Helios Ventures described the conference as “a well-run, educational event with high quality speakers”, while Andrew Rolle of Mundo Advisors was also impressed with the line-up and the advice on offer, saying: ’insightful, relevant topics with superb panelists throughout the conference. Highly recommended for emerging managers and service providers”.

Hedgeweek Editor-in-Chief, James Williams, says: “A fantastic array of speakers throughout the day’s panel sessions gave the audience a unique insight into what it takes to genuinely succeed in launching and running a hedge fund in today’s marketplace, where the barriers to entry – principally costs – are higher than they’ve ever been.”
