TigerRisk appoints COO

TigerRisk Partners, a risk, capital and strategic advisor to the global insurance and reinsurance industries, has appointed Manoj Gupta as Chief Operating Officer.

The announcement was made by Rob Bredahl, President.

Prior to joining TigerRisk, Gupta was President of Third Point Reinsurance Ltd’s US subsidiary. He held various senior-level positions at Third Point Re including Head of Business Development and Executive Vice President, Underwriting.  Before joining Third Point Re, Gupta was lead portfolio manager for catastrophe reinsurance at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he launched three standalone catastrophe risk funds and placed reinsurance risk within the firm’s multi-strategy hedge funds. Previously, Gupta led reinsurance broker Benfield’s alternative capacity and credit risk solutions efforts. He started his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Gupta graduated from University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.
 
He will be based at TigerRisk’s New York office.
