Strategic Capital Fund Management, an alternative investment product sponsor, has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer who brings extensive experience in the hedge fund, private equity, and real estate accounting space. Scott Corkery will be instrumental in supporting Strategic Capital Fund Management’s digital infrastructure (data centre and wireless telecom infrastructure) executive leadership team.
“Scott will play an essential role in helping us expand our organisation as we work with institutional investors, both domestically and internationally, to help them take advantage of digital infrastructure investment opportunities,” says Jim Condon, President of Strategic Capital Fund Management. Recent market conditions have served to catalyse greater interest in the utility-like importance and essential nature of digital infrastructure assets, and Strategic Capital Fund Management continues to bolster its team with highly experienced individuals with strong pedigrees.
Before joining Strategic Capital Fund Management, Corkery was a Managing Director and Head of Private Equity and Real Estate Accounting for Sculptor Capital. Prior to joining Sculptor, Corkery was an Assistant Controller at York Capital Management. He was also a VP/Assistant Manager on the GSAS Toronto team at Goldman Sachs.
Corkery holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University. Corkery is also a Chartered Accountant and Certified Public Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia, Canada.
