Northern Trust inks deal with quant specialist Two Sigma to offer Venn analytics tool to clients
Northern Trust has paired up with Two Sigma to offer Venn, the quantitative investment specialist’s cloud-based analytics platform, to its clients.
Two Sigma’s Venn platform – which provides access to a wide range of funds, stocks, and indices, as well as factor analyses and portfolio optimisation tools – will support Northern Trust’s asset allocator clients in their asset allocation, manager selection and quant investment processes, Northern Trust said.
The new strategic agreement builds on Northern Trust’s existing Whole Office approach, which integrates the firm’s existing frameworks with its partners’ technologies and services, and helps strengthen front office investment processes as investors and managers aim to drive performance and lower their cost.
“Our Whole Office ecosystem delivers global asset allocators and asset managers scale, efficiency, flexibility and optionality, ultimately enabling more informed investment decision making,” said Pete Cherecwich, president of corporate and institutional services at Northern Trust.
Quantitative hedge fund and investment specialist Two Sigma launched the cloud-based Venn software in 2019, with the aim of helping investment teams better understand risks and opportunities across a diversified multi-asset portfolio.
“Venn is designed to help investors better understand and manage their risks in ways they could not before,” said Jake Dwyer, general manager of Venn by Two Sigma.
