The Maples Group has appointed Kieran Fox as Director, Business Development for its fund services business in Europe.
Fox, who brings nearly 25 years of experience to the role, most recently served as the Director of Business Development for Irish Funds, the representative body for the international fund and asset management community in Ireland. In this role, he led Irish Funds’ implementation of the Alternative Investment Funds Managers Directive (AIFMD), drafted guidance on hedge fund administration for the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and oversaw a significant increase in asset manager members.
Fox has held a number of previous senior roles during his career including serving as a senior regulator (risk specialist) for the Central Bank of Ireland, and worked in portfolio management, research, trading and middle office for several hedge funds in London. He graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast with a Bachelor of Science (2:1) in Finance, and holds post-graduate certificate in IT from Ulster University and a certificate in innovation from Babson College.
Fox will be based in Dublin, where he will work closely with Christina McCarthy, Global Head of Fund Administration to further the Maples Group’s initiatives in the region and contribute to its growth globally.
