Dan Och, the billionaire founder of hedge fund Sculptor Capital Management, which was formerly known as Och-Ziff Capital Management, has rubbished comments made by the firm’s board in defence of current chief executive officer Jimmy Levin.

The recent board statement claimed Och knew Harvard University had “exonerated” Levin over an accusation of sexual assault made two decades ago. But in a regulatory filing made on Thursday Och wrote that he had never seen any report from Harvard and had made clear his concerns about the accusation to the board “at the time” and in “subsequent meetings when the issue arose. These facts are reflected in the company’s records.”

This is the latest round in a feud between Och and the Sculptor over Och’s decision earlier this year with four other of the company’s former executives, to sue Scupltor over Levin’s “escalating compensation awards.”
