BMLL appoints Head of Americas

BMLL, an independent provider of historical Level 3 data and analytics to banks, brokers, asset managers, hedge funds, and global exchange groups, has appointed industry veteran Rob Laible as Head of Americas to support the company’s plans to open a New York area-based office. 

Laible has more than 30 years experience of running global institutional businesses across sales and trading, technology, compliance, risk and operations. Most recently he served as Global Head of Equities at Liquidnet, responsible for the firm’s global institutional equities business. Based in New York, his focus has been on providing institutional asset managers with liquidity solutions supported by execution services and analytics. 
 
Prior to that Laible held a variety of senior roles including chief operating officer, and global head of execution & quantitative services overseeing the development of Liquidnet’s suite of algos. Before his time at Liquidnet, worked for global organisations including Macquarie Securities, Nomura, Lehman Brothers and ITG. 

Laible will report to Paul Humphrey, CEO of BMLL, and join the company’s senior leadership team.
