Hassan Bassiri, the vice president of portfolio management at crypto hedge fund Arca, has left the firm, according to a report by CoinDesk. Bassiri’s LinkedIn profile says he ended his four year and four month tenure with the company this month and is now portfolio manager at Nima Capital, a single-family office founded by Suna Said.

Before joining Arca, Bassiri, spent over ten years at KPMG rising to the position of international M&A – senior manager on the mergers and acquisitions team, including a stint as a decentralised finance (DeFi) analyst.

At Arca, Bassiri co-managed the Arca Digital Yield Fund with Arca Chief Investment Officer Jeff Dorman, until it was shuttered due to the fallout from the collapse of Terra’s UST stablecin.

Arca manages three other investment vehicles – a digital assets fund that invests in crypto company tokens, the venture capital-focused Arca Endeavor Fund and an NFT fund.
