Durlston Partners, a talent advisory firm for hedge funds, family offices and digital asset firms and banks, focused on the technology, quantitative finance and data science sectors, has appointed Joshwa Shah as the firm’s new head of business development.

Shah has a wealth of experience working with candidates and organisations in the digital assets and FinTech sectors, having worked at Durlston as a consultant and senior recruiter since 2021, where he has helped some of the world’s most successful hedge funds and cryptocurrency companies grow and develop their teams.

He also established and led, in partnership with the Department of Computing at Imperial College London, the firm’s workshop programme to provide career guidance and interview training for the university’s computer science students. Prior to this, Joshwa was a recruiter at technology and digital recruitment firm Winter Circle, and a compliance analyst at accounting firm Grant Thornton UK.

As Head of Business Development, Joshwa will be responsible for growing and strengthening Durlston’s roster of UK-based and international clients to support the firm’s efforts to accelerate its international expansion. Joshwa’s appointment follows Meraj Bahram and Shannon Palmer’s recent appointments as Managing Partner and Head of Business Strategy and Operations, respectively.
