Citadel founder Griffin tops ‘financial titans’ rich list

Having moved his Citadel’s headquarters to Miami from Chicago in 2022, Griffin, who according to Forbes is also one of America’s most generous givers, having donated $1.56 billion to various charitable causes, is now Florida’s richest resident.

Griffin is joined by no fewer than seven fellow hedge funders in Bloomberg’s Top 25, including BlueCrest Capital Management co-founder Michael Platt ($11.4bn), Duquesne Capital Management founder Stan Druckenmiller ($9.9bn) and TCI Fund Management CEO and managing partner Chris Hohn ($6.3bn).
