Alpine Global Management names co-CIOs

Alpine Global Management, an investment firm specialising in event-driven trading across global markets, has appointed John Ripley and Arthur Ayzerov as co-chief investment officers, with responsibility for overseeing all investment activities across the firm.

Alpine Global Management, an investment firm specialising in event-driven trading across global markets, has appointed John Ripley and Arthur Ayzerov as co-chief investment officers (co-CIOs), with responsibility for overseeing all investment activities across the firm.

Ripley joined Alpine in 2013 from Deutsche Bank, where he was the global head of delta one trading. During his time at Alpine, he built out the flagship Special Situations group, and has been instrumental in establishing additional strategies for the firm focusing on mergers and idiosyncratic opportunities.

Ayzerov joined Alpine in 2012 from JP Morgan, where he was the former head of portfolio trading. He has brought forth a wealth of knowledge and longstanding relationships to the firm and built out the global indices and capital markets events trading teams, which are integral business units.

Uriel Cohen and Charles Kim, co-founders of Alpine Global Management, will be stepping back from any day-to-day management.
