Swiss relative-value hedge fund ADAPT Investment Managers has opened an office in Abu Dhabi, becoming the latest international hedge fund to establish a presence in the emirate as the Gulf continues to attract alternative investment firms.
The $2.1bn manager has begun operating from the UAE capital, with the new office headed by Daniel Mullarkey, who recently joined ADAPT as a senior research analyst. Abu Dhabi becomes the firm's fourth location, alongside offices in Geneva, Zug and New York.
ADAPT launched its flagship fund in March 2020 and had $2.11bn under management at the beginning of August, according to reports. The fund returned 1.77% in July, bringing its performance back into positive territory for the year with a 0.23% gain for the first seven months of 2026.
