Anthony Scaramucci, the Wall Street legend and former White House Communications Director, is to headline the highly anticipated Hedgeweek US Digital Assets Summit in New York on Thursday 14 March.

The crypto industry’s flagship event makes its return to the Big Apple to bring together operational and product specialists at US digital asset hedge funds.

Top of the agenda will be the future of the sector after a turbulent period, with key trends and common issues driving the continued development of digital asset strategies.

Held under Chatham House rules to facilitate open discussion, the summit arrives at a key time following the SEC’s approval of spot bitcoin ETFs, providing a widening opportunity in the digital assets hedge fund market.

The opening panel will see leaders from Pythagoras Investments, Hunting Hill Global Capital, Runa Digital Assets, and Wakem Digital Management discuss whether a bull market and post-FTX lessons can attract interest from more traditional hedge funds and institutional investors.

Legal and compliance experts will delve into the impact the US election will have on digital assets markets in the second panel, with senior executives from Valkyrie, Bedrock Digital Asset Management, and Bitwise Asset Management to share their insights on the hot topic.

The third panel will focus on the biggest data challenges facing digital asset fund managers, as well as the best practices and processes within the market. Speakers include Jasmine Burgess (COO & CRO, Coinbase Asset Management), Brett Munster (Portfolio Manager, Blockforce Capital), and Mauricio Oritz (CTO & Co-CIO, Level III Capital).

The final panel of the day will explore whether institutional investors are ready to commit to digital assets and what it takes to persuade them. The panel features Henri Arslanian (Co-Founder, Nine Blocks Capital), Tony Fenner-Leitão (President, Cambrian Asset Management), Louis Lavalle (Managing Director, 3iQ), and Michael Schwartz (CEO & Co-CIO, Arena Digital Capital Management).

Attendees can also look forward to fireside chats with leading investor, Grayscale Investments, for a view on the outlook and opportunity set in 2024, followed by Wall Street and crypto advocate, Anthony Scaramucci (Founder & Co-Managing Partner, SkyBridge Capital) giving his take on the long-term prospects for the sector against the backdrop of a fresh bull market and regulatory breakthrough in the US.

In addition, there will be a chance to meet and connect with speakers and delegates through networking opportunities, coffee breaks, lunch, and a closing drinks reception.
