Dan Avery, a recently promoted Partner at Millennium Management in London, has left the firm to join multi-strategy rival Balyasny Asset Management, where he will be tasked with building a delta one team, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
The 35-year-old, who famously made Managing Director at Goldman Sachs at the age of 28, is thought to have run up to $1bn at Millennium, having joined the firm in 2020.
The reason for Avery’s decision to jump ship is not thought to be performance related with eFinancial Careers’s source suggesting that he is likely to have been offered up to $25m to make the move.
