US crypto index fund manager Bitwise Asset Management's Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) has surpassed $2bn in AUM just two months after the Securities and Exchange Commission gave the go-ahead for the launch of the first spot bitcoin ETFs in the US.
In a statement, Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise, said: “Bitcoin ETFs have completely changed the conversation for investors. It has been akin to an IPO moment for bitcoin. Investors of all kinds now have access and are engaging: individuals, RIAs, wealth teams, family offices, hedge funds, asset managers, and more.”
Since the debut of spot bitcoin ETFs in the US on 11 January, BITB has generated the largest net inflows among crypto specialist bitcoin ETF providers. In February, BITB became one of the top 25 fastest ETFs in history to reach the $1bn AUM milestone.
