BlueCrest continues hiring push with ex-Barclays rates trader Ankur Aneja

Related Topics

BlueCrest has continued to strengthen its macro trading ranks with the addition of former Barclays rates trader Ankur Aneja, who joined the firm as a partner last year as founder Mike Platt expands the family office’s investment talent, according to a report by efinanicalcareers.

Aneja spent more than a decade at Barclays, where he built a reputation as one of the bank’s leading rates traders before departing in mid-2025. Regulatory filings show he joined BlueCrest as a partner, placing him among the firm’s senior investment professionals.

His appointment forms part of a broader recruitment drive focused on macro and fixed income specialists. Recent partner hires have included former executives from Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Eisler Capital, JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs as BlueCrest continues to add experienced traders across its global platform.

BlueCrest, which returned external capital in 2015 and now operates as Michael Platt’s family office, has remained an attractive destination for senior trading talent, supported by strong long-term performance and a compensation model that allows investment professionals to retain a significant share of trading profits.
