Multi-strategy hedge fund major Citadel, which managers $54bn in investment capital will “soon” announce the appointment of a new Chief People Officer following the departure of Matt Jahansouz, who has left the firm after just over three years, according to a report by Pension & Investments.
The report quotes Citadel spokesman Matt Scully as writing in an email that: “We discussed Matt’s plans with him earlier this year and will be announcing a successor soon. We appreciate his contributions to the firm and wish him all the best.”
Jahansouz, who joined Citadel in August 2021, played a key role in shaping the firm’s global strategies for recruitment and career development. Before his tenure at Citadel, he served as Chief People Officer at WeWork and was a Managing Director for Global Recruiting at Goldman Sachs.
