Coatue Management has co-led a $2.3bn Series D financing round in coding-automation company Anysphere, backing its AI programming platform Cursor and pushing the firm’s valuation to roughly $29.3bn, according to a report by Institutional Investor.
This marks Coatue’s first investment in Anysphere, and has more than tripled its valuation from $9bn six months ago, when it raised $900m in Series C funding.
Other investors include big tech firms Nvidia and Alphabet, as well as Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. Anysphere has recently surpassed $1bn in revenue, and employers over 300 engineers, researchers, designers, and operators.
