Dymon Asia hires former Eisler Capital MD

Related Topics

Dymon Asia has hired former Eisler Capital managing director James Meenan, as multi-strategy hedge funds continue to compete for senior recruiters, according to a report by Financial News London. Meenan previously spent three years in business development at Eisler before leaving earlier this year.

He will relocate from London to Hong Kong and is expected to start later this month, with a focus on supporting the firm’s growth and expansion. The Singapore-based firm has returned nearly 15% in 2025 following a strong October. Its $4bn multi-strategy fund gained 1.6% last month, bringing year-to-date returns to 14.8%, according to people familiar with the matter.

Eisler Capital said in September that it would wind down operations, faced with rising costs and weak performance. The fund, founded in 2015, managed a little over $3bn at the time, down from $4bn the previous year. Before joining Eisler, Meenan spent more than a decade at Morgan Stanley, holding roles including head of Asia platform and advisory sales. He also worked at Deutsche Bank for almost six years.
