ExodusPoint has hired Daniel Dangoor as a senior portfolio manager in its Dubai office, bringing in a macro trading specialist from Goldman Sachs, where he had spent just one year as head of macro thematic trading in London, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Dangoor’s move marks another example of senior investment professionals relocating from established London trading desks to hedge fund roles in Dubai, as the region continues to attract talent seeking lower taxes and higher pay structures.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Dangoor worked at SPX Capital as a senior portfolio manager for a year.
ExodusPoint has been steadily building its macro investment team in Dubai, including previous hires from major global asset managers. Last year, the firm recruited PIMCO portfolio manager Berhe Tesfayohannes, also relocating him from London to Dubai.
Goldman Sachs and ExodusPoint reportedly did not respond to requests for comment on the move.
