Ex-Lynx Partner joins Tidan Capital as Senior Quant PM

Anders Holst, a seasoned quantitative specialist and former partner at Lynx Asset Management with over two decades of quant investment strategy experience, has been appointed as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Swedish boutique hedge fund firm Tidan Capital.

According to a press release, Holst, who will start at Tidan next month, will contribute to the firm’s continued expansion in systematic strategies, working alongside Linus Nilsson to further develop Asterion, Tidan’s flagship multi-strategy systematic programme.

During his tenure at Lynx, Holst was instrumental in shaping the firm’s research and trading infrastructure. He joined in 2004 as part of a small, high-impact team and helped scale Lynx to an industry-leading systematic fund. He held several key leadership roles, including Portfolio Manager and Risk Manager, and served as a member of both the investment and management committees.

Holst also spearheaded the model implementation team, overseeing order generation, backtesting, and risk management, ensuring the firm’s proprietary strategies maintained their competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market.

Following his time at Lynx, Anders continued to influence the industry through senior roles in asset management, consulting, and entrepreneurship. He has co-founded asset management and proptech ventures, as well as provided advisory services to global hedge funds.

His deep expertise in systematic trading, risk management, and machine learning applications in finance will be instrumental in further strengthening Tidan Capital’s research and investment capabilities, according to CEO Serge Houles.

“Anders is a seasoned quant investor with a track record of building and refining systematic investment processes at scale,” he said. “His insights and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand our systematic strategies.”
