Energy issues in the Baltics have been identified by the European Commission as of vital importance.
Energy issues in the Baltics have been identified by the European Commission as of vital importance. For years, the region has depended on its Russian neighbour to the east as the main supplier of natural gas. Now however, they are seeking to move forward and secure their energy independence.
Before this happens however, a number of areas have to be addressed such as support schemes in place for investment as well as the Baltic Market Interconnection Plan. These are vital if the region is going to be successful in achieving energy independence and security.
We will be taking an in depth look into this and other areas such as current renewable energy developments taking place, as well as discussions surrounding the rebuilding of Lithuania’s Visaginas Nuclear Power Plant.
Join us at EastEuro Link for the 2nd annual Energy in the Baltics event which will be once again hosted in Vilnius, Lithuania. Focused on networking opportunities, our event will enable you to meet with the region’s leading organisations and representatives.
