Former Goldman macro trader leaves Tudor after 16 months

Related Topics

Former Goldman Sachs macro trading partner Stuart Riley has exited Tudor Investment Corporation after a brief 16-month stint, marking another move in a career spanning several high-profile hedge fund roles, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.

Riley, who previously led rates trading in London at Goldman Sachs before departing in 2015, initially joined Rokos Capital Management before later moving to Paul Tudor Jones’ Tudor Investment Corporation in February 2025 as a portfolio manager.

According to regulatory filings, Riley ceased to be a partner at Tudor earlier this month. The firm has confirmed he is no longer employed there, although no further details were provided regarding the circumstances of his departure.

Riley is not understood to be joining Citadel Securities, despite earlier industry speculation around further moves into large-scale macro trading platforms.

Instead, he is set to join ARP Global Capital in Dubai as a senior partner and deputy chief investment officer, according to a Bloomberg report.

ARP Global Capital is led by former Goldman Sachs executive Yusuf Alireza, who previously served as co-head of Goldman Sachs in Asia-Pacific. The firm has been actively building out its investment team, including recent senior hires from major banks and trading firms, and is expected to continue expanding its macro and markets-focused bench.
