Hermes Intelligence has named Daniel Sako as its new Chief Executive Officer. Sako brings extensive experience in alternative data, having developed products at Man Group and Balyasny Asset Management that contributed directly to portfolio managers performance.
Born in Albania and raised in Italy, Sako moved to London seven years ago and built his career in alternative data before stepping into the CEO role. He now leads Hermes Intelligence, which won the 2025 Waters Technology Award, providing custom alternative datasets and ontology-driven knowledge systems tailored to clients’ decision-making needs.
Hermes Intelligence’s AI-driven platform, based on its “Sight, not Search” approach, integrates data sourcing, entity resolution, and relationship mapping to deliver actionable intelligence efficiently across multiple sectors, including investors, enterprises, and quasi-government organisations.
Sako plans to expand the company’s engineering and product teams, deepen financial services client engagement, broaden enterprise and government offerings, and launch the firm’s AI-native platform publicly.
Headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, Hermes Intelligence also operates in London, Brussels, and Warsaw, delivering bespoke data and intelligence solutions to institutional clients worldwide.
