Credit-focused hedge fund GoldenTree Asset Management has appointed Ellen Conti as chief financial officer, bringing in a senior finance executive with experience at Sculptor Capital and other alternative investment managers, according to a report by Bloomberg.
New York-based GoldenTree, which manages around $70bn, said Conti's background in leading finance organisations would strengthen the firm's senior management team.
Conti joins after more than two years as CFO at Sculptor Capital, the alternative investment manager that was acquired by Rithm Capital in 2024.
Before joining Sculptor, Conti held senior roles at Assured Investment Management and BlueMountain Capital Management, giving her experience across a range of alternative investment and credit businesses.
GoldenTree has built its business around credit investing and has been active across stressed and distressed situations, including financing transactions involving companies such as Liberty Puerto Rico and Saks.
