Graham Capital Management, the $20bn alternative investment firm focused on quantitative and discretionary macro investment solutions, has appointed Jens Foehrenbach as President and Co-Chief Investment Officer (Co-CIO).
In this new role, Foehrenbach will work alongside Co-CIO Pablo Calderini to jointly oversee the firm’s investment activities. Foehrenbach will also contribute to the firm’s Executive, Investment, and Risk Committees, and will report directly to Graham Founder and Chairman, Kenneth G Tropin. Foehrenbach will be based at the firm’s headquarters in Rowayton, Connecticut.
Calderini, who has been with Graham since 2010, has been promoted to Vice Chairman. He will continue his oversight of the firm’s investment activities as Co-CIO alongside Foehrenbach.
Foehrenbach brings 25 years of experience in investment management to the firm, having previously served as Head of Public Markets at Man Group the world’s largest listed hedge fund manager with $174.9bn in assets under management. Foehrenbach’s previous roles at Man Group included Chief Investment Officer of Man Group’s Solutions and Man FRM. He is regarded as a specialist in the liquid alternatives space, having successfully overseen hedge funds and active long-only strategies during his tenure at Man Group.
