SS&C Technologies Holdings has reported a 0.98% gross return for the SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index in December 2025, reflecting steady, if moderate, gains for hedge funds across its administration platform.
Meanwhile, the firm’s Capital Movement Index, which tracks net subscriptions and redemptions, fell 0.33% in January 2026, a decline attributed to routine portfolio rebalancing and asset allocation adjustments. Over the past 12 months, the Capital Movement Index has increased 4.79 points, indicating continued, if measured, investor interest in hedge funds.
Bill Stone, CEO of SS&C Technologies, highlighted the current market environment of higher interest rates, fiscal pressures, and geopolitical tensions as a backdrop likely to sustain volatility—conditions typically favourable for hedge fund strategies.
The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index, in operation since 2006, provides an asset-weighted, independent measure of fund returns, with low correlation to broader equity markets. Its Capital Movement Index and Forward Redemption Indicator offer monthly insights into hedge fund liquidity, investor sentiment, and net capital flows.
The next Capital Movement Index update is scheduled for 12 February 2026.
