Hedge funds advanced 0.75% in August according to the gross return of the SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance, while hedge fund flows, as measured by the SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index, advanced 0.39% for September.
“SS&C GlobeOp’s Capital Movement Index for September 2024 rose 0.39%, reflecting positive net flows into funds,” said Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SS&C Technologies. “Global market volatility continues to trend upward. With flexible strategies, diversification benefits, attractive risk-adjusted returns, and downside protection, hedge funds offer significant benefits and continue to attract allocations from investors.”
The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index is an asset-weighted, independent monthly window on hedge fund performance, while the SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index represents the monthly net of hedge fund subscriptions and redemptions administered by SS&C GlobeOp on the SS&C GlobeOp platform.
