Jain Global, the new multi-manager hedge fund firm launched by former Millennium Management Co-Chief Investment Officer Bobby Jain, has hired Squarepoint Capital’s Ali Rauf as a portfolio manager, according to a report by Financial News.
The report cites unnamed people with familiar with the matter as confirming that Rauf, who spent 18 months at Squarepoint, where he focused on discretionary USD rates trading, has joined the rates and macro team in Jain’s London office.
Jain Global started trading at the beginning of this month with $5.3bn in assets, making it the largest hedge fund launch since ExodusPoint Capital Management’s 2018 debut.
